Over decades of operating within executive search, they’ve witnessed market cycles, shifts in leadership capability, and the changing demands placed on property organisations as the sector has matured.
Their wealth of knowledge is shaped not only by long-standing relationships, but by hands-on experience advising businesses through periods of growth, transformation and succession. This depth of perspective informs their advisory work, allowing them to provide considered, market-led guidance that extends well beyond recruitment alone.

Steve Joffe
With over 35 years of experience in the property sector, Steve is a highly regarded search professional, known for delivering strategic talent solutions across the industry. Having held senior property roles at Lendlease, Deloitte, Colliers, Knight Frank, and NAB, Steve brings a deep understanding of market dynamics, leadership demands, and organizational needs.
Transitioning into executive search in 2005, Steve has since specialized exclusively in property sector recruitment, placing top talent from graduate to senior executive levels. In 2010, Steve founded Property Placements, a boutique search consultancy dedicated to building high-performing leadership teams for leading property firms.
Beyond recruitment, Steve is passionate about mentoring professionals at all stages of their careers, investing significant time in guiding future leaders and shaping industry talent. With a consultative and strategic approach, Steve works closely with clients to ensure leadership placements align with their long-term business goals.

Nick Broadley
Nick is an experienced executive search professional with over 20 years in the property sector. With a deep understanding of industry dynamics and leadership needs, Nick specialises in identifying and securing top-tier talent across mid to C-suite roles.
Before transitioning into executive search in 2011, Nick built a strong foundation in property development and consultancy, holding key roles at Ogilvie Developments and Urbis Pty Ltd. This hands-on experience gives Nick a unique perspective on the leadership qualities and technical expertise required to drive success in the sector.
Holding a BA (Hons) in Urban Planning with a Major in Urban Regeneration, Nick brings strategic insight and a global perspective to talent acquisition. Beyond search, Nick serves as an independent advisor to the UK Government on Australian and UK inward investment and is the current President of the St Andrew’s Society Melbourne.

Emma McDonald
With over 20 years of experience in strategy, operations, events, and marketing, Emma is a highly skilled operations leader dedicated to driving efficiency and excellence in executive search. Having held senior roles at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), University of Melbourne, and Swinburne University, she brings a deep understanding of operational management, business strategy, and organizational leadership
As Head of Operations, Emma plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s Operating Partners, overseeing the day-to-day management of the business to ensure seamless execution across all functions
Holding a BA (Hons) in Communications and an MSc in Digital Strategy, Emma brings strong communication expertise and a forward-thinking approach to operational leadership. She is committed to enhancing business efficiency, implementing best practices, and supporting the firm’s long-term strategic objectives.
